National Praise for Milton Keynes from Independent Thinktank

Just weeks after being named a Candidate Host City in England's bid to host the FIFA World Cup in 2018, Milton Keynes is in the national spotlight again being praised for coping with the credit crunch in a new report from independent thinktank Centre for Cities.

Milton Keynes Electric Car Project Gets in Motion

MILTON KEYNES has been named as one of nine cities and towns across the UK to pilot a new project aimed at making it easier for thousands of people to use electric and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles.

 

The Joined-Cities Plan announced today (9 September) by the Energy Technologies Institute (ETI) aims to help cities across the UK to deploy a cost effective and compatible network of recharging points.

 

The £11 million Plan has been created to help support the roll-out of a single national network that will ultimately enable plug-in vehicles to be easily used and recharged anywhere, including the home.
