Arts and Culture in Milton Keynes

Milton Keynes is a cultural beacon. It offers visitors and residents a wealth of cultural opportunities including an art gallery, a theatre, a sculpture trail and a host of live music venues, from small and intimate to our world famous outdoor arena.

Milton Keynes Gallery opened in October 1999. Attracting an incredible 50,000 visitors in its first year and still free to enter, it's now the region's most exciting contemporary art gallery. Milton Keynes also has one of the largest public sculpture collections in the UK, including works by Elisabeth Frink, Wendy Taylor, Ronald Rae and Liz Leah's famous 'Concrete Cows'.

Milton Keynes Theatre hosts award-winning plays and musicals direct from London's West End. It also plays host to the RSC, Moscow City Ballet and the Glyndebourne Touring Company. It is acclaimed as the most successful UK theatre outside of London.

Milton Keynes is not short of music venues, from intimate venues like the internationally acclaimed Stables to our stadium the National Bowl, which has a capacity of over 65,000 and has attracted some of the world's biggest rock and pop stars.
