By road

Milton Keynes is adjacent to the M1 motorway, and easily accessible from Junctions 13 or 14. The A5 dual carriageway also runs through the Western edge of the city. Average journey times by road to Milton Keynes are:

Milton Keynes' North American-style gridded road system means traffic jams are rare. Most grid-roads crossing the city are either 60 mph single carriageway or 70 mph dual carriageway. You are able to drive comfortable from one side of the city to the other in 15 minutes. And Central Milton Keynes is less than 10 minutes from all edges of the city, including the M1 motorway and A5 dual carriageway.  

 

By rail

The main West Coast Line runs through Milton Keynes and over 100 trains go from Milton Keynes Central railway station to London Euston every day. There are three stations in the city: Milton Keynes Central, Bletchley and Wolverton. Rail journey times to Central Milton Keynes are:
