Milton Keynes offers am amazing range of sport and leisure activities. Watch or participate in almost every sport imaginable: play on ice, on turf, down the ski-slope, in the water, on the tracks. In our vibrant and active city, sport is part of the lifestyle. And with a wealth of accessible, wide-open spaces everyone can enjoy keeping active and getting fit.

Mainstream and Spectator Sports
Milton Keynes is home to several professional sports teams and sporting bodies:
- Milton Keynes Dons moved into a new UEFA Elite standard 32,000 capacity stadium complex in Milton Keynes in 2007. They won the Johnstone's Paint Trophy Final at Wembley, secured promotion to League One for the 2008/09 season and, if England wins the bid to host the 2018 World Cup, the stadium is to be one of the venues.
- Milton Keynes Lightning Ice Hockey team were the English Premier League play off winners 2005/06.
- The Red Bull Formula One motor racing team has its headquarters in Milton Keynes
- Milton Keynes Lions Basketball team were BBL Cup Winners 2007/08.
- Milton Keynes is also home to the National Badminton Association

Community Sports Facilities
The Milton Keynes region boasts an enviable array of sporting facilities with a multitude of different sports to enjoy. There are five leisure centres across the city and a host of open spaces available for public use - including 30 cricket pitches, over 70 soccer pitches and 25 squash courts. The city also makes good use of the 'Redway' system; 270km of dedicated paths through often beautiful areas for use by walkers and cyclists.
